Katie Talda

(Spotlight) Katie Talda graduated from the U in May 2017 with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering. After graduation, she moved to Seattle to be a Nuclear Engineer at the Puget Sound Naval Shipyard. Her job is managing work and retesting on nuclear reactors of aircraft carriers which has allowed her to spend a few weeks in San Diego as well as four months in Japan. During her time in SWE, she was most involved with the Outreach Committee and became the Co-Vice President of Outreach from 2015 – 2016. During the 2016 - 2017 school year, Katie was the Mechanical Engineer Representative and a senior SWE member that helped with planning and event setup of numerous events throughout the year. Annaliese Parker

(Spotlight) Annaliese is a University of Utah SWE alum and former President of our Society of Women Engineers chapter. Before being elected President, she was also the Vice President of Corporate Affairs and before that, she participated in the Professional Development committee for SWE. She has always been involved with a variety of adventures and hobbies throughout her life. Annaliese is passionate about helping non-profits by donating as much time and expertise as she can to these organizations. Her love of adventure has taken her to have really unique experiences, which she enjoys capturing with photography. Though she lives in California, her love for the snow keeps her coming back to Utah!

Steven Corey

(Spotlight) Steven Corey is a University of Utah engineering student and is SWE's Computer Engineering representative. He has experience in music/audio production and wants to use his skills gained at the University of Utah to engineer his own improved audio equipment. Alice Griffin

(Spotlight) Alice Griffin is a University of Utah SWE Alum with a BA in International Studies and BA in Computer Science. By joining SWE and attending their Evening With Industry event as a student, she was able to receive an internship for the company she now works for full-time. Erin Parker

(Spotlight) Erin Parker began teaching computer science at the University of Utah in 2005 and has taught over 4,500 students in over fifty classes. She is also the faculty advisor of the University of Utah Society of Women Engineers student section and the Honors Faculty Advisor for Computer Science. She also serves the School of Computing as a member of the Diversity Committee and the Undergraduate Studies Committee.

Kathryn Jones

(Spotlight) Over the years, The Society of Women Engineers at the University of Utah has seen Presidents leave their mark on our chapter through dedication, creativity, and amazing leadership abilities. Kathryn Jones has the qualities of a focused leader ready to steer our dynamic group of engineers in a direction of thriving success.

Dr. Stacy Firth

(Spotlight) Dr. Firth is one of the University of Utah SWE section's advisors for the 2019-2020 school year. She is currently an associate chemical engineering instructor at the University of Utah. She is an alumni from the U and has done research in semiconductors.
